The area is perfect for the active guests. Walking, cycling or mountain biking. You can plan your own routes, but you can also choose one out of the booklets you can find at the Chateau. In 20 minutes by car you can rent canoes and fight against the river flow of the well known Loire. In some 300 meters you can play tennis and mini-golf. There you will also find a beautiful municipal swimming pool.

Les Bardons is also an ideal base for golfing holidays with the opportunity to play golf at various golf courses in the beautiful surroundings, near the Loire and close to the central massif, experiencing the fine charm and atmosphere in the ancient heart of France. There is already a fine golf course just 13 km from the Chateau.
The chateau is beautifully authentic and perfectly suited for self-service (but we can provide catering if you prefer great after an active day) and is comfortable and fully equipped for twelve guests. Ideal for a small golf-loving club! And after the golf, you can relax in the park or dip in the pool.

In the wider area there are good opportunities for cross-country skiing, for example in the Monts de la Madeleine, in the Bourbonnaise. For those who are Nordic skiing trained, the loipes (slopes) of Lavoine (55 km) are very attractive.
Skiing, snowboarding or mountain boarding is already possible at only 30 km distance in La Loge des Gardes (www.logedesgardes.com). This ski resort is located on the top of the Bourbonnaise (blue, green and 2 red pistes).
